Not sure what to do with TT here.
Hi.
UB $30+3 300/600/A75 Down to 3 tables. 2 tables pay. CO 13740 Hero 11280 BB 11280 CO open raises 1500, button folds. I have TT. Pot=3075 No reads on CO. Should I reraise here or just call 1200 more to (hopefully) see a flop? |

Re: Not sure what to do with TT here.
I'd call and see a flop on the cheap, but I still have a lot to learn about tournament poker.

Re: Not sure what to do with TT here.
I really want to raise here, but there aren't many raise sizes that I like. Pushing is probably too much of an overbet. A smaller reraise to say 3500 makes the flop pot 7k and your stack 8k, so that doesn't leave you many options on a Qxx flop out of position.
I'm certainly not laying this down, so I'd probably call, but I'm not thrilled about it. I really wish you had a bigger or smaller stack here. This stack size is rough. |

Re: Not sure what to do with TT here.
I am really trying to be more aggressive in the blinds when I have a good hand, especially when the open raise comes from LP. In the past I would just call here and see a flop, but I reraised to 3000. But I understand what you're saying about the stack sizes, and I think my reraise was too small anyway. Although if he's stealing he has to lay it down, except I may have just made it cheap enough for him to see a flop? Anyhow, he actually reraised a decent amount, but not all-in. Why? I had to fold. So next time I need to look at the stack sizes more closely and figure out the correct move.
Cheers. |
