Default Pocket 7\'s just after the bubble.

$40+4 Multi on UB. Top 20 paid - 20 left. Average stack is 14K. Blinds 200-400.

Table Dynamics: This is the very first hand after the bubble. Seven hands ago hero's stack is at 27K. Lost with AK and QQ back to back. I was at another table but assuming BB is respectable he had all three tables open and probably witnessed this. BB seems solid. Only been watching his table for the previous 40-50 hands. From what I can remember he only entered 3 pots in that time. None went to showdown.

Hero 7k and BB 23K.

Hero is MP2 with 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and limps. Folded to the BB who pops it to 1,500.

Hero???

Please include your thoughts on the initial limp as well.

Thanks. Pep.

I may be weak, but I let it go here. I was playing for a cheap flop and set value, now that's been taken away. I don't want to go to war just yet with this hand.

But I may be weak...

First, I raise PF. I'm the first in, so I am always raising as the blinds are high enough to be stealing.

Second. I go for a resteal here. The BB is looking at one weak limper - he SHOULD be making this play with any two. I go AI overtop, he should fold, but if he calls.... Well, he should fold.

If I'm the BB I'm popping it with any two to see if you really are as weak as the limp suggests or are hiding a monster.

Raise PF if you are going to open a pot at this point of the tourney as many players will raise your limp with hands considerably worse than yours and push you off best hand.

In regards to your question, I re-raise for all my chips here trying to rep AA, if I get called is it likely to be a 55/45 situation and I need the chips, if I'm dominated, that's life.....but I don't open limp here.

Regards,.

1. Raise PF
2. Move all-in. You only have 7k and are praying for an opportunity to go HU with a PP. Also keep in mind that you showed weakness by limping. Not being raised here would be a miracle...
