I think I'm stealing too much.
Rather than post PT numbers, I'll try to figure this out through a poll.

Assume the structure is $3/$6, w/$1 small blind, and $3 large blind.
You are in CO, and it is folded to you.
Button, SB, and BB are all 14% VPIP TAGs.
Suppose you have no blind related reads.

How do you play the following hands:

I voted raise all except for 55. I think 55 is borderline raise/fold but I just don't like going to war with a small pp that has little chance to improve. Can anybody that raises 55 from tell me why I might be wrong?

I think that the big blind would defend something like Axs or KTo. At least w/55, you're ahead preflop, can bet the flop, and can win a checkfest if it comes down to that.

I voted raise for all except K9o. With K9o, if I'm called by anyone, I hate being in the hand, even if a king comes on the flop, since someone will have KT, KJ, KQ often enough.

Have you played short handed at all?

I don't play 6 max much, if that's your question (I occassionally chase "buddies" at 5/10 6 max).
I've played enough shorthanded live at late hours.
I think shorthanded games play a little differently than blind steals/defenses in full games. Its a different mindset.

Sure, people will call w/J9, and Q9, or w/garbage.

Given the tight blind structure, I'm not super excited about being in there w/K9o when people defend. At a looser blind structure, I'd feel a little better.

How is this a different mindset?

I agree that the 3/6 blind structure isn't the best.
