Default river decision

$25 NL (6 max) (Real Money)

Villain calls too much. Even so I thought I'd fold him out on the turn. Ooops, he did not cooperate. Input on all streets welcome.

3 handed. Hero raises (1.5) on button with q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

sb (6.2) min raises
villain (41) calls
hero (56) calls

Flop j [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

sb is all-In.
villain raises [$7.1].
hero calls [$7.1].

Turn T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

villain checks.

hero bets [$18].

villain calls [$18].

River 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

villain checks.

Hero--fire again or check?

A bit more context in the hope of getting some feedback:

Villain was a loose calling station and, rightly or wrongly, I didn't give him much credit. I thought his min-raise of short-stack's all in a weak attempt to shut me out. And so I called his flop bet.

When he checked on the turn and I paired I figured he'd fold to a reasonable bet. And so I bet about 2/3rds of the pot. He took a long time to call.

Now on the river I'm uncertain of what to do. I have a marginal hand and I can check behind and hope for the best. But I have been representing a much stronger hand and so I can go all in and hope (pray) for a fold.

Thoughts?

Well--I went all in. As you figured he called but MHWG. Gotta guess as to what he had?

use his weakness against him. this means value betting your good hands and not trying to bluff him out.

Yeah, I know this--but forget sometimes. In any case I thought he was on air on the flop, hence my turn bet.

No, not t9.

No.

Hint: given his cards, I think he misplayed the flop.
