Great, Thanks!
What about poker rates? Are there any websites with a listing of hotels and poker rates? |

Step 1) Find a hotel you'd like to stay at.
Step 2) Call said hotel. Step 3) Ask for poker rate information. |

The cheapest poker rates on the strip are probably at the stardust (I know they are less than $50/night on weekends). Rates can vary by date, so just call the places you are interested (you can usually call the toll free reservation number) and ask what the poker room rates are for the dates you want. I know that Stardust, Sahara, Mirage, Bellagio, Monte Carlo, Flamingo, Excalibur, and I believe Wynn all have poker rates. If you want to stay somewhere else just call and ask.

I've decided since it's my first time to Vegas, I would try to see one poker room a day. Which means it's not necessary for me to have a poker rate. I'm going to each one of highly rated rooms listed at allvegaspoker.com, Bellagio, MGM, Mirage, Aladdin, etc.
What does everyone think about staying at either the Tropicana or Boardwalk? They're priced just below the other places and they're right on the Strip. I tried pricing the air/hotel packages on Orbitz, Travelocity, CheapoVegas, Expedia, CheapTickets, Priceline, Southwest and JetBlue. More or less, the pricing are comparable among the different sites. I'm going from NYC to Vegas and I wanted a nonstop flight. The difference between a Tropicana/Boardwalk and a Mirage/MGM was $900 to $1300 for seven nights and round-trip tickets. If anyone can vouch that the experience at the higher end hotels is worth the extra money, I might go that route instead. I'll be there from 7/9 to 7/16 for the WSOP Championship event. |
