Re: HOH: Volume II status
Greg Raymer's book is still in the works. This is what he told me about it:
"Thomas, No, I'm not writing a book on the 2004 WSOP per se. I am writing a book on general tournament strategy, and it will include some anecdotes and examples from the 2004 WSOP. Hopefully you will like it as well. Later, Greg Raymer (FossilMan") |

Re: HOH: Volume II status
I've had this book pre-ordered on Amazon since I started reading the first one and I'm still as anxious to read the second volume as I was when I finished the first one. I've thoroughly enjoyed reading HoH Volume 1 over and over, and it has tremendously helped my game.
Thanks for posting the update, James |

Re: HOH: Volume II status
May I please have a situation or a teaser of this concept, sir? I just got HEFAP and i am enthralled. 8) Ill definitly buy the book anyway, as I have bought virtually all the ones I can afford every other day. Also one question, when playing Razz, if I have a (hand 1)A-2-3-5-7-9-Q does it beat a (hand 2)A-2-3-4-7-J-K? I am just learning and am reading Skansky on Poker now, but a hand on our home table came up just like this and I was flabergasted. Does the K make the lower low end null and void? Does hand one or hand two take the pot? are these two cards irrelevant at this point. I realize this question is so newbie its laughable, but I appreciate your time in even reading my response. Oh and I am a big fan of you and your friend David Sklansky. Mike Caro has saved me tons of cash. And you two have helped me understand why I make the moves I have made in the past. Like one two nights ago when I got my first big jackpot payoff on a straight-flush to the Q! I now truly understand the value of checking on the flop and 4th street in order to set up future plays. Thanks SO much for the guidance. I owe you two a debt i cannot repay. And I am determined to see you two across from the table at the WSOP this next year! Re: HOH: Volume II status
Razz is just like all the other forms of poker. You make the best 5 card hands! So A2347 beats A2357. None of the other cards count.

Inflection Point Theory should cause a sensation [/ QUOTE ] I think we can do without the marketing hyperbole ! I will buy it because the first one was good. |
