Default Small Stakes Stat Checkup.

Hey Gang! Long effing time.

A 2+2er posted some stats (I will not name names) and it concerned me very much. Not only the stats for this player, but the comment prior to the stats. I'm not picking on this player, I truly want to help this guy, and since he is now a "pro", I think he needs some input.

Anywho here's the comment and the stats for 2-4 and 3-6 full ring.

[ QUOTE ]
All of my stats look like everyone elses on this board at 2/4 and 3/6 except one thing - Won $ at SD.

Stats since I've been pro (70,000 hands)
VPIP - 15%
PFR - 8%
Att. to steal - 27%
AF - 2.4
W $ WSF - 36%
Went to SD - 32.8%
Won $ at SD - 51%

[/ QUOTE ]

If the avergae Small stakes 2+2er's stats look like this I had better start freaking posting back in this forum again on occasion, as Nate and CDC apparently can't convert everyone by themselves.

Please tell me this place didn't turn into a rock garden!

The majority are not rocks, almost we are probably a little too tight in general as a whole.

He is tighter and not as aggressive as most people preflop. Being that tight, I would also expect him to have a higher w$sd %.

Most of the players who start in the SS forum, learn how to play poker when they first start breaking even, they learn how to play tight. Often, too much so, but they get instant resluts when they are playing micro stakes and the players really suck. However, they get exploited when they step up because..

A: They don't get nearly the action

B: Better postflop players own them after the flop.

This occurs because, they learn how to play tight pfreflop, but unfortuneatly, they play tight postflop as well. This cat OTOH, has a high AG factor postflop which leads me to believe he overplays hands and gets called down by fish, or anyone with half a brain and some stones post flop pops him on the turn and punishes the overaggression and gives this cat fits.

(it's what I do against known 2+2 players and it works like a charm)
