Affiliate A puts in effort to sign up player B.

[/ QUOTE ]

I understand that some of these guys pass out business cards at poker rooms, etc. But c'mon, the "effort" is usually a garbage banner farm or spam.

1 other thing I haven't seen mentioned in any of these threads- Don't be suprised if some of these anti-rakeback affiliates are in fact rakeback affiliates that would rather not pay. "can't track you, sorry" what a sweet excuse to keep it all!

No they're douchebags. Most of them are spammers, and they're all grotesquely overpaid for the service they provide. They're gleefully rah-rahing the IGM guy for cutting us out from getting a much deserved break from the sites collusional(?) exortionate rake policies.

"No, these people are not douche bags. They have a revenue stream that is being hijacked by the rakeback providers."

"can't track you, sorry"

i understand everything you are saying LA, but to be fair, there should be some clarification.

i know a couple of small-fry rakeback affiliates that have said EXACTLY what you say above, but then they follow it up with:
"move to another skin or tell me what i can do to help you close this party account. please don't play the account anymore."

so, there are some well intentioned people caught up in this as well.

I can dig it. I have 3 affiliates and all are good guys. I'm just pointing out the obvious I guess, some folks will F u in the A for a penny. I hope nobody believes for a second the possible end of rakeback will hurt any of the big RB affiliates a bit.

That makes no sense whatsoever.

If they don't pay the players, the players don't use that account and the affiliate makes nothing.

all of the friendly posts from affiliates just look like affiliate greed to me. I had no idea affiliates felt this way.

[/ QUOTE ]

Some do...but the rake back affiliates don't.

I guess my point is do affiliates really deserve that big of a cut to bring in a player?

[/ QUOTE ]

Party thinks so.

This recent post clearly states their intentions regarding skin rake back.

I'm finding all the recent changes at Party/Empire/Pokernow rather alarming.

It's a good thing there are other options on the net than Party skins.

Keep an eye on PSO.
