You could just start a new database. You can also go into Preferences somewhere and change the date to the date of when the experiment started and it will only give the stats from that day. I'm not an expert, though. I just bought it a few days ago but I did this myself. It shouldn't be too hard to figure out but if you need more help. I can give you detailed step by step.

BTW, I'm predicting profits, baby !! But, I think it will be more due to you sitting at very loose tables . Good luck on this and it will be very interesting. I would even go so far as to say that you will make more money than most limit players playing the same stakes.

Day 2 Results:

Starting Bankroll: $351
Ending Bankroll: $331

Wow. Terrible day. If I were a complete moron, I'd be putting some stock into some conspiracy theories right about now. However, I'm actually surprised that it wasnt worse, given the cards I got - I basically got jack-threed the entire time.

I did some tooling around with PokerTracker and apparently I need the registered version before I can do anything useful, so once I get that then I can post the hand histories and complete stats.

However the last two tables I played I figured out that you can display your stats instead of the chat window (which makes it a double-win in my book ) - I'd never seen this feature before though because Pokerroom hides it a bit - you have to right-click on your own screen name to get to it, and I never had much reason to right click on my own name before .

So anyway, here are the stats on my last two tables:

Table A
Time: 37min.
Preflop fold: 87%*
Net: -$3.95
Hands: 40
Won: 0 (0%)
Split: 1 (2%)**
Lost: 39 (97%)

Table B
Time: 28 min.
Preflop Fold: 97%
Net: +$7.15
Hands: 28
Won: 2 (7%)
Split: 0 (0%)
Lost: 26 (92%)

*: That doesnt include the times I was big blind and got to see the flop for free, so if you count those as a preflop fold (or maybe rename the statistic "% of hands where you didn't put in a damn penny more than you were forced to by the structure of the game"), that should be higher.

On a side note, I was just reading "Inside the Poker Mind" and the author makes an offhand comment that a rough estimate of how many hands you should play in Holdem is about 15%. So if I'm getting to see a free flop for 10% of my hands because of unraised pots, I'm up to about 25% (roughly, since there will be some intersection of course - those times when you have a playable hand while you are in the big blind). So yeah, people don't raise anywhere near as often as they should in these games.

** That's a false statistic - I never really split a pot with anyone. What happened was there were about 6-7 limpers in the pot, I'm in the Sb with KQ, so I raise it about 8xBb (as per Miller's instructions), and UTG calls with his last 1.85 - he didn't have enough to match the bet, so a side pot of 15 cents was created, for which I was the only contender, and thankfully which I won . I guess Pokerroom counts "guy gets almost all of the pot, but you got 0.15 back that was never up for grabs in the first place" as a "split pot".

I don't know what the overall statistics will bear, but my extremely biased and amateur analysis suggests that this was simply a cold wave of cards, and the good hands I did get always seemed to be matched by someone else getting aces or kings that very same deal...Or theres always the "raise 8xBb on the button, get five (I kid you not) callers, and then having someone suck out" scenario.

Hey everybody, I'm still here - I didn't play yesterday, but I plan on putting in some hours this evening, so look for an update sometime tonight if you're interested. Also I just bought PokerTracker, so perhaps I can wrangle it into giving me what I want now since the demo version was uncooperative.

Ok here is all the data PokerTracker vomited out for me apropos the experiment thus far (note that I started playing the MAIM system on 5/01, one day before my post, so the profit is different than what I posted in the day-to-day updates: I just wanted to give a general idea of where I was at with the daily postings)

As I try to get PT to somehow let me munge their much, much, MUCH neater-looking "report" style summary into a copy and pasteable file instead of just something to print, here in the meantime is RAW HARDCORE DATABASE DATA (not safe for work). Anyone who knows how to make sense of this stuff, here you go. To the best of my knowledge, I followed the system to the letter with the exception of two times: once where I completed the small blind bet with KTo after everybody at the table limped in (I just couldnt bring myself to fold getting 24-to-1 on my money; sorry, Mr. Miller), and Im pretty sure I played a pair of pocket nines out of position (i.e. I was supposed to be in at least seat 4 or so and I played them in seat 3 or something like that). But other than that, to the best of my knowledge it was by the book.

I couldn't find any way to make the tabs come out right to make the data look somewhat neater than a Magic Eye poster, so I colored the 0.25 NL data red and the 0.50 NL data blue so the two of you who are actually looking at this can tell what goes with what. Take that, UBB script and your lousy no-tabs-having markup!
