Default Medium Aces in 6 max, to call or not to call?

This post is a question about general play in 6 max games with these kind of holdings.
Preflop call ok?
Raise the flop? bet the turn?

I almost always bet the turn in that spot. $10.

Is that a good call preflop?

At 150x the BB and 4x the BB raises it's tough to find a bad call, or a good call. It's certainly not wrong.

So I guess it really doesnt matter what you do preflop as long as you adhere to the 5/10 rule huh?

he had kings or queens?

The call depends more on your postflop skill than the merits of the call itself. If you're comfortable playing a weak suited ace and think that you can get away from it, then by all means call. If you are some calling station then it is probably in your best interest to not call.

the weak bet on the flop with the A out w/ the check on the turn shows he obviously had wired kings/queens.. so checking it behind him was good b/c he probably thought he was ahead, because then he thought his wired pair was good, except you probably could have raised the river for value..

Bare in mind, the better you play than your opponents, the looser you can be. The worse, the tighter you must be. Try to accurately judge who is better than you, who is worse.

My sentiments at the time, exactly. You can imagine my surprise then when he flipped over KT for the missed straight....some people dont know how to bluff the river....
