Default BB 89o

Flops: 7 T 5 (All Diff suites-Forget details).

Pot: 53 - Cost to call: 5cents.

Call right? *outs, 4.75 to 1

Missed turn K Fell.

Pot is now 80cents or so, 8:1 Call again? or just fold? Implied is more than 11BB's.

Thanks - Just a quick check up of my game.

These are basic pot odds questions you need to have quickly mastered. The turn is a definite call. The flop could be a bet/raise depending on number of other players in but you're definitely seeing the turn here as well.

In the example here you don't need to worry about discounted outs. You have an openended straight draw. A J or a 6 is unlikely to help anyone else as much as it will help you, particularly where this is a rainbow flop.

Because you have 8 outs, you will hit your straight around 8*4=32% of the time by the river at which point you will likely be way ahead of everyone else. So on the flop for every bet you put in if you can get 3 others to put in a bet you make money (since you are contributing 25% of the pot but have 32% equity). More players is even better, if you have 7 people willing to put money in then you'll be putting in only 12.5% of the pot (but still be close to 35% equity!).

On the turn you need better odds since you only have one card to go but will still hit almost 20% of the time (so you can usually call bets but should not typically bet or raise).

The more callers between you and the bettor, the better. If you are acting directly after the bettor, you should just call the bet (you want more people to put money in). If on the other hand you are on his right and everyone has called (or at least 2 people have) you should raise every time. People will likely put in another bet or 2 here and you are making money for every bet that's going in.
