Default Harvey\'s in Lake Tahoe

Hey everyone -

I'll be up at Harvey's in Lake Tahoe this coming weekend for a bachelor weekend. Probably gonna get a few hours in Friday evening and Saturday morning/afternoon before heading over to a friends house where we will be playing at his house.

When I used to live in Northern California and could make it there a bit more often, they always spread no ante $1-5 stud, however, last time I was there which was quite a few months ago, they were spreading a 25-cent ante $1-3-6 game.

Anyone know if they are still doing the $1-3-6 game or if they have gone back to the $1-5 game? Just curious what I should expect. I'll probably also put in a couple hours at the hold em table just to add a bit more experience in hold em.

ThaAny insight on if the World Poker Challenge will have any impact on the quantity and/or quality of players at Harvey's?

I have generally found that most of the players playing before 8pm are usually retirees playing for a social outlet and play very tight, and the later night players are usually either people that know what they are doing at the table or are drunk tourists that are literally giving the money away.

I was there about a year ago, and the game was 3-6 Hold'em, no stud. I played about 6 hours over two nights.

They also had some tournaments going, but I missed those.

They had an interesting "bad beat" promotion, I don't know what you'd call it...every time you had AA beaten and took it to the river and showed it down, they paid you $20. Like you had to sign for it and stuff.

Have fun.
