Default Chipco \"Tournament\" poker chips

Has anyone tried these chips? Just wanted to know since I was thinking of investing in a set.

Is there anywhere that is cheaper to buy these chips. I really want 500, but don't have 510$. Does anyone else think that is a really large amount to pay?

From a quality standpoint, they are excellent Chipcos. The price is reasonable, if you like ceramic chips.

From a design standpoint, they are near-replicas of the chips used at the WSOP 2004 Finals.

So from that perspective it's not a lot to pay, if you are willing to pay for ceramic quality and WSOP status.

I agree with you completely. But when you look at it like, "I am spending .5k on poker chips!", it seems a little bonkers. I am actually really unhappy with the state of most poker chips these days, but I think these are the best things I have ever seen in my life. I like them better than any of the pc.com chips I have seen, and I like them better than Paulsons. I am in love with these chips. I have a birthday in May, so if my mom and pops don't wanna shell out 500 bucks, I will chip in (pun intended). I think I would only go with the top four denoms though. The yellow black, black yellow, pink light blue(I think), and the black red. Incredible chips. How do they feel, stack, and sound? Anyone? Can you get samples?

I think you can order these in quantities of 1 ea. from www.cardroomsupply.com for a sample set. A complete sample set would run you $7.70 plus S&H.

ChipCo chip prices are pretty consistent (.85 - 1.10/per chip) across the board. You could try ebay someone had some for sale recently.

As for feel, all ChipCo's pretty much feel the same, a smooth (not slick) matte finish.

I own 1500 of these bad baoys, easily the best chips I have ever seen or played with. I love the feel of clay, but hate the fact the colors rub on each other and they look like crap after awhile. If you want quality chips for a good price I would suggest Desert Sands Poker chips. In my oppinion these are the best bang for the buck chips out there. Fortuantely I got in on the pre order of these chips and got them for $.80 a piece no SH.
