Default now this is how you handle a bad beat

Player 1 (33) and Player 2 (AKo) both hit the flop (AQ3), Player 1 makes a boat on the turn with another Q, and the third queen on the river gives Player 2 the bigger boat. Big pot, looks like your regular bad beat story.

Player1: nh
Player2: sorry, got really lucky
Player1: that's ok, you deserved it for hanging in there
Player1: nh

the guy just reloads back to full and keeps playing. who says you can't learn anything at the 25NL tables...

here's the hand history... not exactly well played, just thought the conversation afterwards was interesting

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (10 handed) converter

MP1 ($28.6)
MP2 ($21.94)
Hero ($35.85)
CO ($22)
Button ($29.3)
SB ($43.7)
BB ($31.7)
UTG ($24.05)
UTG+1 ($5.4)
UTG+2 ($22.1)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.1.
<font color="#CC3333">UTG raises to $0.5</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP1 raises to $1</font>, MP2 calls $1, Hero calls $1, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, BB calls $0.75, UTG calls $0.50.

Flop: ($5.10) 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(5 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">BB bets $2</font>, UTG folds, <font color="#CC3333">MP1 raises to $4</font>, MP2 folds, Hero folds, <font color="#CC3333">BB raises to $8</font>, MP1 calls $4.

Turn: ($21.10) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">BB bets $3</font>, MP1 calls $3.

River: ($27.10) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
BB checks, MP1 checks.

Final Pot: $27.10

Results below:
BB has 3s 3c (full house, queens full of threes).
MP1 has Ah Kh (full house, queens full of aces).
Outcome: MP1 wins $27.10.

Agreed. The small reraise on the flop was bad enough. Then giving him 8:1 on the turn, MP1 is more than correct to call with TPTK. In fact, given the implied odds, he might have made that call even knowing BB had the boat already (10:1).

I think he needed to reraise to $13 on the flop, and bet 3/4 pot on the turn.
