NL All In - Help Me With A Ruling
Blinds are 400/800.
UTG calls. All Fold to SB. SB calls. BB goes all in for a total of 930 (a raise of 130). What EXACTLY are ALL of UTG's options at this point? Obviously he can fold. I'm pretty sure he cannot check. Can he simply call for 130 more? Is his minimum raise 260 more (a raise of at least as much as the previous bet or raise, total of 1060)? Is his minimum raise 800 more (a normal minimum raise, total 1600)? Is his minimum raise 930 more (the all in raise plus a normal raise, total 1730)? Or is his minimum raise some other number I haven't mentioned? -ptmusic |

Re: NL All In - Help Me With A Ruling
I think his only options are to call or fold. To reopen the betting BB would've had to have raised for at least half of the last amount bet or the BB in this case. If BB had raised to 1200 UTG could reraise.
I think this is right, but someone correct me if I'm wrong. -Craig |

Re: NL All In - Help Me With A Ruling
He can either call or fold. Their wasn't a full raise by the BB, so he cant re-raise. Each player must call the 130 to stay in the hand until the next round of betting.

What are UTG's options if BB had raised all in to 1400 (greater than 50% but not 100% of a normal raise) 2. What are UTG's options if BB had raised all in to 2000? I think the answer to #2 is: fold, call, or raise to at least 3200. I'm really not sure of the answer to #1. -ptmusic |

Re: NL All In - Help Me With A Ruling
The answer to #1 is the same as before, call or fold.
Because the bet was not a full bet then the option to re-raise has not been opened. The half bet rule only applies to limit holdem,in NL it has to be a full bet. |

Re: NL All In - Help Me With A Ruling
So if BB goes all-in for 1599, then the others can only call or fold?
