Default Re: Two players ejected tonight.

Most poker managers seem reluctant to eject the obnoxious, thinking that they are losing a customer. They don't see that allowing the creep to stay costs them a lot more than ONE customer, as the rest of the players decide that playing in this room with these idiots is not an enjoyable experience.

The manager of this room was a dealer in CO and CA for several years himself and is cool as hell, so the "No Dealer Abuse" rule is STRICTLY enforced.

Frankly, this deal with the idiot throwing a button at me and getting ejected immediately by the floor person was encouraging in that it showed that other floor persons will actually stand behind us, not just the manager of the room.

I am not Asian, but I also don't think it was necessary to single them out as Asian (making the wanker comment understandable). If he said that the offensive players kept calling him a lousy dealer with a thick accent that he could hardly understand, that would be sufficient. Identifying them as Asian adds absolutely nothing to the story. Arseholes come in all shapes and sizes.

Exactly, he makes a point of saying I don't need to say this and i'm not saying it for any real reason, but i'll say it anyway because subconsciously I want you to hate asian people like me, because Japanese killed my grandpa in WW2. This thought pattern can be succicently shortened to this thread starter is a wanker.

[/ QUOTE ] (I particularly like this one, given the bouncy-breasted Asian avatar. I mean, so long as we're talking about what's offensive and not...)

Ni men bu shi dong xi. Qu ni men de.

None of the translators I can find can even identify this quote, let alone translate it. What the hell does it mean?

Wrong, it adds detail. Are you advocating a strictly minimalist style of writing or reporting?

"There were these two jerks at my table who I could barely understand...." it would not have painted a sufficiently accurate picture

There were these 2 jerks with thick accents at my table...

We have MANY Asians playing in Black Hawk and most are cool as hell.

[/ QUOTE ]

This isn't just unique to Black Hawk. Try going to any casino and not seeing 'many' asians. At least up here it's like that.

[ QUOTE ]
And I mentioned that the Hispanic girl was Hispanic because the jerkoff who was screaming at her was screaming rather derogatory racial slurs at her at the top of his lungs - it was a vital part of the description of the situation.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't think you need to point out what race she is. Is there a race that is immune to racial slurs? The term racial slur itself is enough.

Personally, I don't care as I see your point as it does give a little better description overall. Does it really help in making the point in the post? Not really. You only have to put enough in there to get the gist of the situation without being specific to any race. Not really worth going to war over in a thread though. It will come up again eventually by someone over someone else singling out some race.

I think these idiots deserved to get tossed. Dealing is a thankless job. You get to piss off 8 players every hand. And the 1 guy you do make happy will hate you the next hand. I don't envy it. I think it's great that the floor guys back you.(I echo your thoughts in a previous response in this thread) I've seen some that let things go a little too far before stepping in or just plain catering to a regular at the dealers expense. Which is a bunch of crap.

Mandarin.

First sentence (roughly) means "you guys don't get it." Rusty enough that I don't know the second sentence.

Yup!

I hate aholes NOT being dealt with in poker rooms, it's been a while since I have seen someone get that out of line though, good stories!

I only recall one guy during a tourney and still having chips being removed, when he threw cards at a dealer and said the dealer called him a MOFO. He was then argumentative with other players, and a couple of them not even at his table said they'd like to kick his arse.

I saw the dealer months later and asked him about it, he said that guy was normally fine, but a complete jackass when he drinks... and banned from many poker rooms because of it.

LOL! I agree, this PC BS is OOFH.

Oh yeah, I am old school, I still use oriental, am I a bad mofo for just that?

Laughable like so many other things, like these Arab-Americans who are suing Denny's for $28 mill, lawyer came up with the #, DUH!
I saw 2 interviewed, definitely not their country of origin, but the BALLS to sue for that much & showing your face on TV is just asking for future troubles.

28 Million for calling them Bin Ladens and refusing service? @Denny's! LOL!

Damn! I want 1 billion for all the FKN BS I have lived through then!

I can't believe people are offended by the "Asian" designation in this thread. I'm Chinese, and usually pretty sensitive to unintended racism, and it still boggles my mind. When did "Asian" become an insult? He didn't say slanty-eyed yellow MFers did he?

Jesus Christ. Since when did indicating someone's ethnicity mean that you're sending subliminal messages about how your grandfather died? What a load of [censored].
