Learning from tiny PT sampe: High VPIP affecting aggresion stats?
Hi all, this is my first post here..so please be brutal
I've just using PT, and have a tiny samle size (1200)..I know that you need 100million hands for some stats, yet I have already seen some things to improve..namely VPIP is way too high (31), partly do to WAY too much calling from SB (>70%)..so PT has already paid for itself.. I feel that I am pretty aggressive preflop (7%) and no wall flower post flop, though at 0.25/0.5 you can't go crazy. My question is ..are the aggression stats (1.5/1.8/1.5) parlty reflecting the preflop play..ie should i just concentrate on my preflop play for now and worry bout aggression later? All comments, rants, etc welcome Brian |

Re: Learning from tiny PT sampe: High VPIP affecting aggresion stats?
First, are you inlcuding PF aggression in your AF calc? (You shouldn't be)
Cutting your SB completion from 70% to 35% will get your VP$IP closer to a good range, but it will still be a shade too high. We'd need to see your VP$IP by position to get better clarity on what you should be folding. (My initial guess is that you're playing too many marginal hands from early position, but that's just because it's a common error.) |

On the "More Detail" screen there is a checkbox that you need to uncheck. Your aggression is probably ok if those numbers include PF.
