Entertaining night at 25NL

I got frustrated with bad beats in tourneys for today, so I decided to blow some steam off at the 25NL 6-max tables tonight. Behold:



The remarkable thing is that if you hit top pair it's like a MONSTER. I tabled someone with a8 against their 55 and kj against K-x. I just bet the whole way and then pushed in for 4x the pot on river. Got called all the time.

Anyway, good times. Perhaps there is some substance to this approach?

i must be at the wrong tables b/c i got absolutely rolled..although normally it is fine...i had AK on a K 5 T rainbow flop he had 5 T (called 4xBB raise)

Same guy 30 hands later, i had Q7 (in BB unraised) on a A Q 7 T all in on turn he had AK and hit a jack on the river

i flopped so many straights and sets onto flush or flush draw flops and the guy either had it or drew it...I mistakenly (thankfully) folded a TT in a 3-way pot and it was set over set over set on the FLOP...but yes it can be good sometimes

Although standard, I still like the preflop raise with K6s.

Yeah, the waiting list for the table was like 11-12 people at 5am. I felt so honored.

For the first time in my life, I was "that guy" everyone wants to hang around.

Sometimes it works like this but other times lady luck smacks you down again and again--I only made $100 last night 3 tabling 25nl 6max. One table kept me from making more:

I lost open trips kkk q kicker to kkk22.
I lost qq to t7o.
I lost qq to a rivered str8t, called by a station with t7s.
I lost kk to j8o.
But the worst was when I flopped a set 444qq and villain rivered a queen to make quads.
