I don't even remember the last time I had a flush. Draws, draws and draws but no fill!
I might be on a tilt when it comes to flushes right now. Because I think that now is the time when I actually hit it! But no no.. Did I play this one like a jerk? Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (9 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is UTG with 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. I would not call with this hand UTG.
Anyways, post flop, you have a good 14 outs for this hand, so I can see calling the flop, but I'm not sure about that turn. That's besides the point...POSITION POSITION POSITION! |

Limping A2s UTG is standard at this limit. So is limping 22. The better players here will consider limping J9s UTG if the table is good. If you're ever at a table where limping A2s and 22 is not OK, leave and find another.
I think you played this hand fine. Calling on the flop is good because even though your draw is stronger than a typical flush draw, you'd still rather not get it HU. Turn you don't have an equity edge, but with 2 outs to the house and 8 more to the flush, you're calling any and all bets. |

I might limp with this in a loose game (as yours seems to be), but I normally fold this UTG. I'm tempted to raise this flop. That way I'm more likely to win if I catch an A (just reread this section in SSHE, or is this a misapplication?).

There's no way in hell AQ is folding here, and you already beat A3. Your A outs are as cleas as they can possibly be. I say call and build a bigger pot because you don't have the equity to go HU. On the other hand, if the table is so passive that they'll all call 2 bets anyway, go ahead and raise, but that's only good against the very worst set of opponents.

Nicely played. I play it exactly the same.
A6s is an easy limp from UTG. |

Even after the raisers, I think there are enough outs to call two cold with that pot. Am I missing something? |
