Standard Flop Play?
Please ignore that I played 65s in the middle, but I hadn't
played a hand in a couple orbits, and well, I was bored: Ultimate Bet No-Limit Hold'em, $.02 BB (8 handed) converter MP2 ($2.06) CO ($1.44) Button ($.21) SB ($1.87) BB ($1) UTG ($.69) UTG+1 ($1.28) Hero ($3.07) Preflop: Hero is MP1 with 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. UTG calls $0.02, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.02, 2 folds, Button calls $0.02, SB completes, BB checks. Flop: ($0.10) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5 players) SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets $0.1, Button folds, SB folds, BB folds, UTG calls $0.10. Is this a standard play to get a free card? Thanks, Mike L. |

Re: Standard Flop Play?
1) Playing 56s in the CO is fine.
2) You didn't just get a freecard, you made a semi-bluff. This play is pretty standard. I might have just checked it through though since with all those limpers, it's unlikely that a bet would get them all to fold. |

raise preflop, buy the button and take initiative
if there was one more limper ahead, i'd say go ahead and limp it. |

don't think Super System plays on the SSNL tables [/ QUOTE ] just cause you're not Doyle doesn't mean that your suited connectors go down in value or that SS won't work against the weak. |

Re: Standard Flop Play?
I diagree with that one. I have learned that playing suited connectors are best played either or when:
1. Pot has been raised 2. Many limpers see the flop 3. You have position to play it Suited connectors doesnt hit that often and if u call them everytime, everywhere u will loose money, kinda like playing JT in every position. When they hit they hit big but its not that often they do... least not from my experience |
