Default 100BBs at PP

Hey all-

I've been taking some time off poker and just reloaded my account tonight and...holy crap, 100BB stacks at Party?

I'm sure there was a deluge of posts regarding game adjustments when this happened but my searching skills are failing me and I can't seem to find any posts regarding this.

Any general pointers for playing with the new stack sizes?

Do you guys find you're playing a very different game than when you were playing with 50bbs?

Thanks in advance, I'm off to search the archives a bit more to see what I can find.

-Ben

The differences won't be as huge as you might think. Odds are, you've played with 100x stacks on Party before against bad players who doubled up after you'd built a stack. There are also still a fair number of people who only buy in for 50x, too. There's less preflop all-in madness, but players are still bad and more than willing to give away money.

Can I still play a standard raise of say 4 BBs?

Should I up it given than the raise in relation to the stacks is now smaller?

As always, it depends on the table and the specific stakes. I use a 3x standard opening raise (larger if there are limpers or if I'm out of position or whatever) at the 1/2 blind tables and it works well 99% of the time. Experiment, try things out; if you were winning before, you should continue to do so. The main difference you'll see is that you have decisions to make on the river as you're less likely to be all-in by then.

Probably depends on the way you were playing before the change. I was playing a lot of all-in's pre and on the flop and found the difference to be huge. I had to adjust by actually not playing solitare while 4 tabling, bastards.

I would go back if I could as I'm sure I'm still not playing optimumly.
