** The attitude behind this post **...
Is exactly the reason why 99% of bots...
Just make money for the poker site and good players.

You are technically correct...
But you could get the "script kiddie" to paint your house.
If it's a serious project...
You'd bring in a professional painter...
Who would charge you professional rates.

A Bot that's "thrown together"...
Would have negative value.

You could be reading a Party Poker "hand file"...
In one hour...
But the basic logic...
To track a pre-flop ONLY game properly...
Would take at least 20-30 hours or more to code.
A lot of different things can happen...
Different number of players, etc...

Also...
A serious Bot would not be dependent on a "hand file"...
That may or may not be there... depending on the site.
The Bot would scan the video memory for "images".
You'd have to build a library...
Of all the images that you are scanning for...
Each of the letters...
Each of the cards...
Each button, etc...
Then the logic to put together a "jig-saw puzzle"...
Every 0.10 seconds.

This would take 100 hours.

Also...
You might do stuff like code a custom mouse driver...
Because apparently...
Party Poker looks at the way your mouse is "clicked".
Plus serious "detection avoidence" measures...
Like running 2 "virtual computers" on one machine...
To isolate the scope of Party Poker snooping.

Plus 50 hours of testing.

So you're looking at 200 hours and $10,000...
For the most "rudimentary" Bot.

Otherwise...
If you spend $2,000...
You have a worthless Bot with countless "leaks"...
And maybe even lose your account.

I'm gonna build a pre-flop Bot right...
Just for the fun of it...
(But because I have a successful business...
I don't have 200 hours right now).

Posts of haiku,
are strange to read..
do you see why?

sentences flow,
like water stuck at a damn.
perhaps the truth is..

that the bot is you?

I almost forgots...
That an Artist lurks...
Among the cold, hard Bots.

Dude, without going into the repugnancy of your position on bots...

your lyrical writing style is just creepy...

It reminds me of reading a Dr. Bronner's Magic Soap bottle...

All One!

Then please...
Stop reading my posts, sir.

And I have not clarified my "position" on Bots.
(Assuming you mean a moral position...
Are they right or wrong).

I've mostly been ** speculating **...
About how to build one that actually works.

The truly repugnant people...
Are the morons that come here...
EVERY FREAKIN DAY...
And say, "Who can do me a Bot for $50".

You Rock! I believe what you say is true. I have been investing the possibility to make a bot and it will take the time & effort as you descibed.
