Default TRULY ONE FOR THE AGES (TAJ NL) 4 of a kind

first of all i must begin this post by stating this was the loosest game of NL hold em that i have ever dreamed of. i would venture to say that 80% of the people reading this post haven't played in a game this loose. 1-2 NL max 300 buy in at Taj atlantic city...i sit down with 300 and before the blinds go around im looking at $600...people are raising $25-$40 preflop every hand and getting multiople callers (sometimes as many as 6 cold calls on a $35 bet) i laid down numberous winners including pocket 9's when three people were all in, one with ak another with aq and another with 75....75 won the hand and my 99 would have been good for a cool $650 pot....i end up winning a big pot on a flush and as im stacking my chips i look down to see AA..the individual whom i just beat on the pot proceeds to raise to $35....one person calls, im in the small blind and make it $135...original raiser calls other person folds....flop comes with a J high board...i bet $175 she calls...turn blank,,, im all in and she calls.....pocket kings..tough breaks... $1400 pot thank you

anyways i fold preflop on this table..the flop comes 773...checks around.turn comes 7 ..checks to button who raises and one player calls...river 7.. 4 of a kind sevens..first to act checks only after verbally stating that its obviously a split because they both have four sevens, not even knowing that he had to make a 5 card hand (duh)..they both have over 600 in front of them and button says all in..the guy calls and says split pot right? he turns over 99 button turns over k10, king high and took down a 1300 pot...WOW

Wow.

Just... Wow.

(I remember once seeing a guy lose it because his two pair was outkicked by someone else with the same two pair. He exclaimed: "There aren't kickers in Hold 'Em!" - but your story really takes the cake.)

But I was afraid you were going to say that the winning kicker was a six.

Nice 1! LOL!

Tonight, I saw this one:

ODB has to be getting close to a grand of buyins at 1/2 NL $200 max.

ODB has J8o

On jack high flop he goes AI, called by a guy with KK.

Turn: 8 ODB sucking out!

River: 3 pairing 3's on the board.

The fun part, they are comparing stacks and dealer gives ODB back 7 bucks and pushes the pot to KK guy, ODB still thought he had won, being counterfeited had to be explained to him.

On the plus side, this guy had, if it wasn't fake, at least 40G's worth of BLING on his wrists, so 1G was meaningless to this guy, he sure played like it was, he was reaching for 2 C notes on consecutively poorly played hands at one point.

Got love the WHALES at 1/2 NL.

Truly inconceivable a sober player above $2-4 (or even $4-8) could be so clueless. I haven't given the no-limit cash games a go as of yet, instead focusing on getting comfortable at $6-12 (only 10 hrs so far) and jumping to $10-20 (Memorial Day weekend), but based on the long waiting lists I've seen for NL and some of the posts it would appear to me that's the best fishing grounds currently. It's truly mind boggling. I guess the scary thing is that these same people are allowed to drive cars.

I think that it's also true that most of the "completely new to casino poker" WPT wannabes tend to head straight for the NL tables. The sexual overtones of "All in" no doubt serves as an irresistable siren's call.
