Small pot, paired board, and the possibility that you're drawing dead to a FH or A high straight is enough to make me muck the turn.

This being a HU pot when Hero acts on the flop, I think the free card play works pretty often. If villian caught a big piece of the flop he's going to go for a turn a c/r a lot. If villian caught a little piece of the flop (or is scared of a set) he'll generally go into calldown mode.
