Default Hard Rock Tampa

I am going to the Hard Rock Tampa. I have played there once before and after about 16 hours of play at HE 2 straight limit I left down 50BB. 8 to the flop and about 4 to the show down at least(no fold em). I played of course T/E. My question is should I losen up with more play with suited cards. I played my big pocket pairs and high cards strong only to be cracked on the river often. I would do alot of raising knowing people are calling with junk. I think I would like to see alot of flops and then fold or be aggressive. I guess my question is should I loosen up my play. What do you guys think?

Default Re: Hard Rock Tampa

This is my first post. I've been reading diligently for a long time, almost a year.
I play a lot at Hard Rock, and my advice is, unfailingly, play the tightest poker you've ever played. Never bluff - 90% of hands see a showdown. I've only been able to bluff people out of a pot a very few times on a brand new table. Florida mainland poker, regardless of the casino, is no fold'em hold'em.
Looking at your situation, I say you had a run of bad luck, getting your premium hands cracked for $100. Smart, tight, aggressive play can make you a mint, esp. at Hard Rock. But, with everyone staying in, the variance is nuts.
Hang in there. It's fun, and it's cheap.

Thanks VOX. I will keep that T/A play in mind. It seems TPTK never wins the pot there. It took a set at least to take the pots down. Anyway I hope to see you there In the last week of July. Take care.
