[ QUOTE ] With 2 opponents you should be raising as much as possible on every street once the board quads. You have more than 33% equity. [/ QUOTE ] the turn, i understand. why on the river when it's HU? [/ QUOTE ] Not when its HU. |

Re: attempted steal with A9o, weird ass board
In the dark.............
From the turn on I raise raise raise. You have 4 or a kind with best kicker. If you can get an ace to fold you win a large amount. When I am in this kind of situation I tend to go manical to try to get another ace out there to fold. I don't know how well it works, but I believe it is possible to get some of these fish to fold just because they don't know any better. |

[/ QUOTE ] although most players are terrible - they're not helen keller. raise raise raise raise. you have the nuts. the chance the donk has less than an ace >>>>>>>>>> 1/2 of the rake you will pay if you split. this isn't even close. on two separate occasions I figured we were splitting (one much like yours, and one with KQJTx with no flush) - both times someone woke up from the dead on the river and bet - I raised, they 3-bet, and I just called figuring a split. Both times they had nothing. Lost me money I should have had. Now I cap with apparent splits, and am way more ahead than the extra rake I've paid. |
