Default PP $25/NL Bankroll

What are you guys bankrolls for $25/NL ring games? I only play with $300 and I was told that my bankroll was way too small to play in these games. I thought the standard was 10x the buy in?

It depends on how much you can beat the game, if are good enough I think 300 is plenty, if you just barely beat it i think 500 is safer

I have been usually been told 20-30x buy-in was recommended.

I started with a $50 bankroll in March and have been playing $25/NL with that small of a bankroll. I now have $300 and was told that it wasn't enough. When is it safe to move up to $50/NL? When I get $1000? I actually wanted to move up to $50/NL when I hit $500.

Do be the voice of 'unreason'... I bought in to Partypoker with $150 and immediately 3 tabled it.

If you play tight ABC poker, you should be able to earn your way to a comfortable bankroll pretty quickly at the $25 tables. Seriously.

If you're super loose your variance will be higher, but play Tight and aggressive... they'll hand you money.

I'm currently 4 tabling the Party 50 NL with a bankroll of $1650 and I feel that once i hit 2300 I could start making the progression towards the NL 100 tables. Is this wise planning?

If you are a losing player, no bankroll is sufficient to keep you from going broke.

If you know what you are doing and play conservatively, you have a very low risk of ruin with only 5 buy-ins. On any poker site, the lowest NL level is filled with horrible players.

If you have good instincts, can learn from your mistakes, and don't know how to play NL yet, you should be able to learn within 30 buy-ins.

meh. look for some good games at the 100 (this will be stupid easy) when you feel like you are playing sharp and take a shot now.
