I suppose this is where I need to really be paying attention to the tendecies of the player.

Against an unknown it looks ok. The double flush on the board might mean he is semi-bluffing here.
As you said, in a close decision like this a read is important. But I'm willing to call down here. |

I always call the turn. When he checks the river i check behind and expect to win over half the time.
