Just coming up with ideas The pre-select thing has to be a problem of sorts. I "called" a $10 raise at $1 NL preflop w/ 42o and folded AK in the same session w/ pre-selected actions and live actions happening "at the same time".

I don't do pre-select very often anymore.

I think the claims of this place being a rock garden are restricted to the 1/2 limit games. As you move up, this place is a great place to play. The 3/6 games are good, the 5/10 are better and the 10/20 games are crazy. It's not unusual for the 5/10 flop percentage to be 45% or so.

Above my bankroll but fun to watch are the high limit games when Mark Seif is at the table. I think the limit is usually 50/100 and the play is horrid while Mark sits there soaking in money from people intent on outplaying him.

I have no problem with the software and never have lag. I use a fairly new machine running XP but with a pretty normal set up.

I'm not very impressed with Seif. Maybe I caught him on a downturn or something, but most of the time I've seen him he loses three or four grand in a matter of an hour or so. Plus he lost the last two heads-up matches I saw him play.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure he's a good player, I'm just not sure he deserves to be idolized like some on AP seem to.

This happens everywhere. When I started playing at True Poker last year, everyone thought Peter Costa wat "The Man". If he was playing there were always 50+ spectators and everyone would fawn over him.

It also happens on these boards and not just with solid pros. Each forum has it's group of people, that can usually say anything and go unchallenged, whether right or wrong.

IT is just the way people are. They crave approval from people that they percieve as "better" than themselves.

I agree regarding Seif. I am not impressed with his play. A lot of people watch the final table of the WPT tourneys and justify what they see by saying they didn't play that way to get there. Well, that might be true for some but some of them do play that way and just get hit by the deck. This is why tournament specialists play primarily tourneys. Their style does not translate well to cash games.

The last couple of times have been weekends. I don't know that there is much demand for a game at that level weeknights.
