How Bad is This Line, Turningstone 20-40
As this is my first post, I expect the forthcoming crucifixion.
Live 20-40 at Turningstone, QQ in the small blind, MP3 open raises, I 3bet in the small blind, BB cold calls, MP3 calls Flop A 10 6(rainbow), I check, BB checks, Mp3 bets, I call, BB folds Turn: Q i check bet from MP3, i check-raise, he three bets, I four bet, he five bets, I call River: A I check with the intention of check-raising?? |

Re: How Bad is This Line, Turningstone 20-40
wow, interesting turn and river.
I'm not sure I love the flop call. you don't have odds to draw to 2 outs, they are not 100% clean, and it will be expensive to see a showdown unimproved. turn i think is the right amount of bets. river your line is fine, player dependant I would probably lead against an aggressive player and hope to 3 bet. KJ or TT and an opverplayed AQo much more likely than AA with two on the baord and the fact he did not cap pre-flop. |

Re: How Bad is This Line, Turningstone 20-40
You bet, if he has the straight he is not likely to bet it, if he raises you should give him credit for AQ or AT and just call. TT is really the only hand you beat that he would be sure to bet.
I would bet out on the flop. |

Re: How Bad is This Line, Turningstone 20-40
This is my first reply, so I prepare to be crucified for my advice. IMO, I do not think MP3 will be betting out on the flop with an inside straight draw of KJ after you 3 bet pre-flop. I also lead on flop, but if checked, I like your play on the turn. Depending on ability of the player, the range of hands i give him is AQ,A10,10s,6s. I would lead river and call a raise.

Hey Thanks for the comments, this hand definitely was not played optimally, as he checked through and showed down KJ.
