If a player plays more hands then they more likely to have more flushes, full houses, straights etc

of course, but hes saying that a person with 17vpip is supposed to have (x) flushes, fullhouse etc. a person with 34vpip is supposed to have (2x) full houses, flushes etc. this of course isnt true, because worse hands dont make full houses and flushes as often, but if the player is getting more than his fair share of made hands, then he is running well.
also, if his made hands hold up more often then they should, this is a clear indication of running good. |

given he has played 19K total hands outside of the blinds of his 33,000 hands, he has a 19:14 not blinds/blinds ratio.
When playing 6-handed you get a 2:1 ratio not blinds/blinds, a 5 handed game yeilds a 3/2 not blinds/blinds ration, and a 4 handed game yeilds a 1:1 not blinds/blinds ration, so he is averaging between 4 and 5 handed play over these 33K hands with his close to 4:3 ratio. That makes his aggro numbers suprising, as you wouldn't think you hit enough hands to induce that many bluffs 4 handed, but against the right guys maybe he does, although his 37ish WTSD number seems low if that is his game. |

I wonder, why is he stealing so few blinds, if he is playing this short?

37 went to showdown is pretty high considering he's limping and calling so much

16% of his hands are being showdown, so maybe you are right, for comparison I showdown a bit less than 10% of my hands 6 handed. I don't think his play is anywhere near as horrible as people think, and feel certain you could win with these numbers, especially against the right opponents.
But winning almost 40% of the time seeing 44% of his hands with low agg numbers = an insane heater |

to me, they look horrible. I'm not good at analyzing shorthanded numbers. playing style matters so much that all you really need are cohesive numbers (by cohesive I mean like, if you're going to play really tight, then you can't fold too much postflop when people play at you).
so why don't these numbers look to bad? what's this guy's playing style like? where's he doing all this calling? overcalling? cold calling? playing very loose when terrible players are in the pot? |

the money's made postflop...I play with so many 18-26 vpip 9-16 pfr preflop guys who blow chunks cause they fold too much..
4-5 handed more pfring/aggroing is perhaps optimal but its conceivable given he plays about 1/3rd of his hands outside of the blinds that by limping more than average he encourages his opponents to oveplay (hence why he defends his blinds a lot as well) and also to misinterpret his raises (which are premiumish hands) and give excessive action to hsi big hands. His wtsd indicates he likes to let them bluff/mistakenly value bet. not to say this is ideal, but its conceivable he is a winning player 4-5 handed, especially 1-2 tabling and acting on good reads. |
