Re: Decent hand out of the small blind and i\'m confused.
you can't protect your hand by leading the betting on this semi-coordinated board, and you don't have a significant equity edge here to make just ramming/jamming effective. betting is fine, but check/raising a late position bettor, or check/calling if the bet comes from early position, are both superior IMO.

I'd checkfold that river if MP2 bets and CO calls.

Re: Decent hand out of the small blind and i\'m confused.
you're not checking with the intention of raising. you're checking with the intention of re-evaluating based on the action. this flop probably won't get checked through, and this flop getting checked through wouldn't exactly be a disaster. when the bet comes from late position, the raise is easy. if the bet had come immediately after, you'd have called. if it was two bets coming back to you, you could fold.

so don't check the river. you shouldn't be making a plan for this river that involves you folding for one bet.

Re: Decent hand out of the small blind and i\'m confused.
i'd say value bet the river, but i'm not entirely sure there's a whole lot of value to be had here. the question is, are you checking with the intention of calling or with the intention of folding to a bet?
i do like the flop checkraise alot. |

Re: Decent hand out of the small blind and i\'m confused.
i liked the hand! definitely c/r this. you have a vulnerable hand that cannot be protected by betting out, so wait to reevaluate on the turn. thankfully CO bet, so raise to face the field to cold call. buy some outs.
turn: betting is good. river: i bet, but this might be debatable with everyone cold calling the flop and now the flush is made. |

I guess my question is: are you checking with the intention of probably folding unless you get lucky and see a bet from an LP player? |

Re: Decent hand out of the small blind and i\'m confused.
no. if there's a bet and callers and it comes back to you for one you're calling and re-evaluating again on the turn. i covered this, actually, my wording was poor, though
