Default Rivered non nut straight. Does anyone call this?

UTG+2 is VP$IP 13 PRF 4 after 50 hands.
I would usually bet the flop, but UTG+1 is a maniac/

Unless you put him on exactly AQ, I call this every time.

And yes, I'd bet the flop too when checked to

I am very likely to bet this flop even with a loose player in. You are likely to get a free card on the turn if you want it, that you might nmot get if you check behind. I can see this bet with AK, AQ, TT, KK.

Albeit some are more likely than others.

Actually, any high pair - aces thru tens...AQ...maybe AK....lots of possible hands he could have that you beat

i would certainly call at least but more likely re-raise. you stayed in the hand drawing to the straight against a "maniac". but why does he have you beat? would he not bet if checked to on a river after it was checked through flop, and turn? it is a huge over bet for a $6 pot. IMO raise it up hard. IMO.

first off there is no reason not to semil bluff the flop openended, then you wont have to worry about aq and q9 drawing to a gutter on you. second its a big over bet and it looks like a steal, call it and pick up information about the player. if you are going to check the flop then at least pay him off if he does have ace queen, then next time you will remember that you misplayed this hand. now you wasted 2 dollars, picked up no information and may have thrown away the winner
