Re: quick question about finish distributions...
[ QUOTE ]
5. Considered quitting SNGs to play another form of poker in the past year. [/ QUOTE ] I landed under that one. But hey, limit isnt THAT bad. Sure, It's kinda boring, but I learned something from 8 tabling sng's 40 hour a week. They are kinda boring too after the 1st 1000 or so... Steve |

[ QUOTE ] The most important question you can ask yourself about your SNG game is "how well am I moving my chips." [/ QUOTE ] I did a search, but couldn't find the spreadsheet that tracks this. [/ QUOTE ] I'm sure The Shadow can help you out with this query.... Yugoslav |

Re: quick question about finish distributions...
Syphlix, it could be worse.
I jsut pulled 8 quads. 32 tourneys. 22 ITM. (69% itm, sounds good so far, yeah?) of the 22 ITM.... 1sts: 0 2nds: 9 3rds: 13 It was the best of days, it was the worst of days. |

Re: quick question about finish distributions...

I think you will be much better served to focus on play rather than results. [/ QUOTE ] I try--I'm much better about not throwing things every time some 2-outer draws out on me. Problem is, it's hard to tell someone, "Hey, look how much better I'm playing since I've been on 2+2," without something tangible (however unreliable) to quantify how much better "better" really is. And unless you want to wait a couple years until you have 10,000 SNG's in your spreadsheet (a couple hours in Raptor's case), you gotta work with what you got. The only other method I can think of assess your SNG abilities is to keep a spreadsheet of how viciously people respond to the hands you post (take off extra points if someone has to pull out a "Do you see why?"). |
