The only problem may be returning in the AM hours as the shuttle hours may not go throughout the morning in which case a cab is in order.

I was at Harrah's last weekend and I asked about how late the shuttle ran. The response I got was, "Usually until 1am or as needed."

Check this out http://www.extendedstayamerica.com/ (Valley View)
On Valley View Rd. The street that runs along the side of the Rio. Cross the main road (Flamingo ?)walk maybe 200 yards and there it is on the left.

They are suites, very reasonable, small kitchen, living room area. Believe all or most can sleep 3-4 as is. Stayed there about 5-6 years ago three weeks and was satisfied. Nothing fancy, but practical, quiet and clean.

I booked on www.vegas.com at the san remo for the week of the 17th of June. The San Remo is across from the MGM and next to the Tropicana. I'm in the same situation as you, just wanted somewhere to crash and shower. It was very cheap, $760 for 2 people for 7 nights and airfare from Minneapolis. I can't wait.

Sorry if this has been posted already.

Does anyone know of any inexpensive hotels near the Rio All suite Hotel and Casino? I believe it is located about a mile away from the strip.

I plan on visiting June 2nd and leaving June 6th.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Good luck to you mate!

Did you see the schedule for July? Its interesting thath there are three 1k tournaments in the middle of the big game. Harrahs is screwing this up a bit, I hope they keep the rest of it clean.

Its also a good idea because it gives something for all of the internet qualifiers to do when they bust out of the big one.
