Sounds scary to me especially with KK's, and a couple of players seeing the flop. What if an A comes, and someone pushes or makes a sizeable bet in front of you? Or do you only push when it's checked to you and reevaluate if there's a bet in front?

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't know. I suppose a true stop and go involves no re-evaluation, which makes perfect sense in the Raymeresque context as you defined it.

In the hand in your OP, this is exactly why I advocate a preflop push, especially in a low buyin tourney against this many opponents.

See my reply to davidross, I think it's correct.

Although you might be correct about the genesis of the thread, that does not make it "soooooooo ridicioulous."

The question is legitimate from a non-results-oriented perspective.

Everyone is of the opinion to NOT push all in. So, I will not - well most of the time .

Not that it matters for long term results, but I played a Stars tourny this morning. Got AA on the first hand with a raise in front. I re-raise a good chunk and get the money all in on a Q high flop. And yup I'm drawing to two outs against QQ. Geez, I think I better go back to 30-60 limit - it's easier to beat.

Rush is right. And I didn't care that the KK got snapped. It's happened so many times that I'm desensitized (somewhat anyway). I'm interested in what the best action should be given these often occuring situations.

I know Rush is an avocate of pushing here, but I think I may change my stance to pushing 33% of the time and making a moderate reraise the rest.

You certainly want to thin the field, he did raise more than the pot though. If you think all 3 will call the additional 300 then he could make it a little bigger.
