When it asks you to type in a 3 digit check number, does it really matter what you type in there? Should I be keeping track of the numbers I use?

I have not found any restrictions on what the number is. Some like to go in order 101, 102, etc... Others like to use the date. I don't think it really matters.

If you use a check number that your bank has said you already used, there could be a problem.
Just take a check, rip it up and use that check #. Just like you would have to void a check if you want direct deposit at your work. |

So I figured it didn't matter, but wanted to be sure. |

I called IGMpay and asked and they said it makes no difference, and your bank never finds out about it. Its just for your own records. My bank told me the same thing.

I've never actually tried using the same check # for 2 transactions but I'd rather be safe than bounce a check that way. |

[/ QUOTE ] I've reused check numbers for non-poker stuff and never had a problem. Never numbers that were close to the actual checks I was writing, but rather than void perfectly good checks when I consolidated my student loans I started them with #101 etc. |
