Do you just push with KK preflop?
Stars $10 MTT
Blinds 15/30. UTG limps, MP raises to 120, 2 callers and its to me with black KK's. Do you just push here or re-raise? I chose to raise it to T420. Original raiser and one cold caller calls. Flop is Tc9c4s. Original raiser checks and cold caller is all in and has me covered. I call, raiser folds, and watch him hit a J on the river. Thanks for the help, Adam |

Re: Do you just push with KK preflop?
Stacks?
I assume this is early and so most people still have around 1500. If so pushing is way too much of an overbet unless this is a rebuy where peole are looking for ways to lose all their chips. |

Re: Do you just push with KK preflop?
Yup sorry forgot to mention stacks. I've got around 1500, original raiser has around 1500, and guy with JJ has 2200.
My consideration of pushing pre flop was based on the rational that if I raised to T420 which was a third of my stack, I would be getting the rest of my money in by either the flop or turn on most boards that come out. So, I felt pushing may have been a better option. |

But why would you push 1500 at 360? [/ QUOTE ] The biggest reason to do so is that I feel there is a significant chance in the long run that dominated inferior hands will call often enough to a big all in reraise to make this profitable. And I refer specifically to these small online MTT's. I've seen it many times between other players. With the pressure of playing only about 15 hands per level, I feel as if it is worth trying to push here in order to double up. In addition, winning the T360 pot outright which is a quarter of my stack is significant enough. Adam |

Re: Do you just push with KK preflop?
I raise to 3K and hope it gets heads up.
If I take it there. Fine. Remember, you often win little pots w/ AA and KK, and lose big ones. |

Re: Do you just push with KK preflop?
If you raised preflop all in the player with Jacks will call you most times anyway.

Re: Do you just push with KK preflop?
No I push post-flop. Your raise pre-flop looks fine to me but I'm allin post-flop as long as there's no Ace, paired board or other extreme scariness.
