Default Counting out chips quickly

This is a random question but if anyone can help me out...
I can't seem to get the lightning fast chip count down that you see with good poker players and blackjack dealers.
When I put my finger or thumb on a 5 stack to count out the next stack it pulls the top one off the original stack.
Does anyone have any tips?
Thanks

Umm, I'm not excellent at this (nor is it really important to be unless you're a dealer), but i suggest you cut with the index finger by just barely touching the top of the 5-stack then run it across the new stack to cut it. That usually works fine. Dont press down on the chip, just run your finger over it barely if at all.

And no, it wont help you intimidate an opponent or make more money at the game.

After you drop cut the first stack, picture your finger opening a soda/beer can with each additional cut. The upward motion is probably what you're missing.

This is hard to answer over the net, if you were here I could show you how to do it. The better the chip the easier it is to cut. You put the 5 chips down (roll them off the stack with your thumb, do not "dribble" them). Now you take the chip stack and run into the the 5 chips tat are sitting there and slide your index finger across the existing stack to push the larger stack away so you now have 2 stacks of 5 chips there. I would say your best bet is to get someone to show you; this is very hard to explain (I tried above, but that is not a good explanation).

Yes. Practice MORE. Then practice some more AGAIN.

Also, if you keep your wrist low to the table when doing the front finger cut, it works better. Skip the thumb cut completely, it's not casino official technique.
