Home game where everyone sees the flop
I've just joined a home game where they insist on playing NL holdem where everyone sees the flop if they put in an ante, there is no pre flop betting round at all. Now the stakes are small and the play is awful but has anyone played in this type of game before ? Any advice on how to adjust my game ?

If you play here, drink, and do it strictly for the entertainment/social aspect

Re: Home game where everyone sees the flop
Is there no preflop betting round because they don't want one? If so, suggest taht tehy eliminate all betting and just play out every hand to the river to see who wins. Oh, and drink heavily.

Re: Home game where everyone sees the flop
I suggested they play with blinds and have a pre-flop betting round and most of them gave me a vacant 'huh' look. They like to keep it simple! I'll just be playing to have a good time then, although they are so bad I can quite easily be a winning playing without a preflop betting round IMO.

Re: Home game where everyone sees the flop
Dumbest concept in the world. I guess your best bet is to offer to work as a hous dealer for free beers and get piss drunk until one of them realized how dumb it is and decides to start playing the right way, then play and take them for every penny.
Good luck, Matt |

Make bets that they shouldn't call b/c of pot odds but they still do. |
