best 100$ NL in L.A.? lowest blinds?
i usually play only limit games but just started my first dabble in 100NL today at Holly Park, but the blinds seemed a bit big for the buy in, $2/3..... is this typical? and the rake was high, what is the best place to play in comparison of blind structure, player quality, etc, in L.A.? thanks

Re: best 100$ NL in L.A.? lowest blinds?
Commerce is the same 2/3 blinds. I am not sure about the 100NL at the Bike.
The 100 game at commerce is the best I have ever played it -extremly fishy - even more so then HP. There are a lot of tables going and it is not hard to get a table change if need be. The dealers and floor staff also seem to be a lot happier and profiecient there then at HP. |

Re: best 100$ NL in L.A.? lowest blinds?
I agree with the previous posts. $2/$3 are indeed high blinds, but if you look at the math, it's an extra $2 per orbit. So maybe a maximum of $6 per hour. The Commerce game in particular is so ridiculous that $6 an hour is a bargain. It's worth the extra $24 over a four hour session. I personally think that Commerce set the blinds high on purpose, knowing that any raise in that game, even a baby raise, involves putting a $5 chip out there (well, usually) and causing people to want to GAMBOOOOL. It really is a crazy game.

Haha, I was about to post asking how the 100 NL cash games were at Commerce before I saw your post. Awesome

Re: best 100$ NL in L.A.? lowest blinds?
What's good strategy for the Commerce 100$ NL game? I'm a good limit player, just starting to play NL. Play supertight or more loose/aggressive? Limp a lot preflop or raise all your decent hands? I'm going to play some 100 NL after my usual 2/4 next time I go up, so if anyone could give me some pointers I'd appreciate it.
