Game Definition 6 max and Shorthanded

I am thinking that sometimes contributors interchange the terms shorthanded and 6max. Abdul makes the comment that he does not consider 6 max shorthanded!
HU is two players, obviously. Shorthanded is 4 or less players, 6 max is 6 players? Shorthanded and HU are very important components of the 6 max game! I think it makes a difference when reading this forum and applying it to your game. Maybe I am stating the obvious??
