Re: poker book libraries
[ QUOTE ]
big "poker libraries" or whatever have no affiliation at all to good poker players. [/ QUOTE ] How do you define "good"? If you mean World Champ kind of good, you may be right, but for the rest of us, books greatly speed up the learning process. Even if you're not a natural, you can still get pretty damn good by playing a lot and studying a lot. olavfo |

The Suzuki 2+2 tourney book, a book about using game theory in draw poker (Ankeny), John Fox's sleep til noon book, and WLLH. Some of these books are very, very bad. Re: poker book libraries
I'd bet people with over 20 books are on average much better than people who only have SSH and a few other 2+2 books.

Re: poker book libraries
Not trying to read into why the original poster asked the question, but, whatever it is, this question seems to come up with people looking to do the following (if that's not the case with the original poster, my apologies, but it's what I've seen from enough others) --
I own the following set of books: XXXXXXXXX Let's see the other books others own and see ones that come up very often that I don't own. This is very noble and fine - unfortunately, as one of those people who would list their poker library, I'll provide FAR too many false positives that you don't need. I have something like almost 200 poker books. Let's assume you don't own most of them. The problem is - most are terrible. I'm not a huge fan of online message board participation (and only really do so for my own WWE card game) but I enjoy participating on this particular board because I've seen sooooo much of what's out there and found it soooooo lacking that I'd like to talk to those that likewise "get" why 2+2 completely owns everything else being published. In short: if I were to build the ideal poker library, it would invariably be just the 2+2 books (no question, some are absolutely better than others, but they still all are of higher quality than basically everything else out there) and, well, okay---- The 2+2 library plus Positively Fifth Street.
