Default Interested in MTTs; BR Question

I am a Limit ring game player, and I am interested in playing some Multi Table Tournaments. However, I am unsure as to how many buy-ins my Bankroll needs to be so that I am sufficiently covering any possible variance.

If anyone can let me know how many buy-ins I should have in my Bankroll to play in some MTTs, it would be much appreciated.

Also, I apologize if this is asked a million times, but I whenever I try to use the search function, it seems that all I find are plenty of topics with little or nothing to do with my search string.

Thank you again.

That little? Wow, that surprises me. Do you think I could get away with as little as 20 buy-ins even if I have never played in an MTT before?

Keep playing Limit, and use that to replenish your MTT Bankroll. If you can do that fine, 20 is probably allright.

20 is def. not a proper bankroll for mtts.

You can go 30 mtts without a single cash, specially at the lower buy ins, where the fields are usually 1000-1500 people...

Id say 100 buyins is a safe #...

But 20 is def. asking for trouble, your not going to be playing well when you get low, and you might be playing scared.

20 is fine is he has cash games to replenish it.

much more is required to play MTT's exclusively.
