Razz
I am new to Razz and cannot find a reliable explaination of the rules. Could anyone PLEASE give me the reader's digest version of the rules? And two specific questions: 1) is it structured like hold em (communtiy board) or 7-card stud? And if it is the latter, does the low hand bet as opposed to the high hand? (like stud)

Re: Razz
In a nutshell Razz, is seven card stud played for low (straights and flushes dont count against you). In the versions I've played high card brings in...

Re: Razz
Razz is the mirror image of "standard" 7-stud. So to answer #1 it's dealt like stud. The object is to have the LOWEST possible hand with one caveat - straights and flushes DO NOT count against you, so the NUT hand is A,2,3,4,5. Again, since it's the mirror image the answer to #2 is the HIGH card brings in, but then the lowest hand starts the action.

Re: Razz
And note that Aces are always low, so if you end up having to play a pair(poor you!) a pair of aces beats a pair of deuces, because they are lower, which means your hand as a whole is lower.

Re: Razz
There is an article in the May issue of 2+2 Magazine on Low Limit Razz strategy too, soon to be out.
