Re: Using a Cell Phone/PDA
i can be of almost no help except to say that i have a treo 650 which uses the palm OS, and i regularly place my bets on sportsbook.com from it - its just a regular webpage though not optimized for mobile interface, but it definitely gets the job done when i'm not around a computer

Re: Using a Cell Phone/PDA
Yeah, I have the basic cell phone. I can place a few, track scores, etc. but it takes a few extra minutes and the quality is just bad.
I am looking to buy something that can get the job done much better than the phone I have now. |

Re: Using a Cell Phone/PDA
i also have a regular phone (my home phone - sanyo 5300) that i used to use to check scores and place a few bets as well - the treo is ridiculously faster for both purposes

Re: Using a Cell Phone/PDA
from what I have researched, the treo 650 is the best that I see.
Has anyone seen a better one? I am looking to use a little Black Jack bonus money to buy one of these bad boys. I have verizon, & it looks like Verizon does not support the Treo yet. Verizon says it will be here soon. one poster says: [ QUOTE ] Our Verizon National Accounts rep promises them by the first of May ... by Verizon's record ... maybe Q3. Re: Using a Cell Phone/PDA
Verizon saying it will be out in May = November release
Verizon Wireless is notorious for pushing back release dates. |

Re: Using a Cell Phone/PDA
Is that from the betcris website. I go through them and they have an actual prgm for my Treo 650, but they also have a page for phones that aren't as advanced. wap.betcris.com ,it is a lot better than trying to load their actual page. just my 2 cents hope it helps

Re: Using a Cell Phone/PDA
If you have a wireless router (available now for $25 or less) a Dell Axim X30 is a kickass PDA for a very reasonable price...PM me if you have any questions b/c i don't feel like typing stuff no one will read.

Re: Using a Cell Phone/PDA
oh btw BETCris has an awesome color program that runs on the Windows Mobile 2003 platform (which the Axim runs of course) that works via a wireless or Bluetooth internet connection (or wired but what'd be the point)
Windows Mobile also has Pocket versions of Word, Excel, etc....it's really great |
