final table!
well, i finally got to a final table.
7th last night on PS's 10/1. i was pretty excited to say the least outlasting 1,353 others. anyway, i would like opinions on one hand near the end. sadly, i WAS chip leader with 10 left (5ea on 2 tables), when i got this hand: (sorry for not knowing how to use the converter thingy) PokerStars Game #1547641104: Tournament #7060231, Hold'em No Limit - Level XVII (6000/12000) - 2005/04/19 - 00:21:15 (ET) Table '7060231 73' Seat #3 is the button Seat 1: (423441 in chips) Seat 3: (92496 in chips) Seat 4: villian (212861 in chips) Seat 5: hero (405542 in chips) Seat 6: (136758 in chips) villian: posts small blind 6000 hero: posts big blind 12000 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to hero [7s Ac] seat6: folds seat1: folds seat3: folds villian: raises 12000 to 24000 hero: raises 380942 to 404942 and is all-in villian: calls 188261 and is all-in *** FLOP *** [Ks 4d 9c] *** TURN *** [Ks 4d 9c] [2h] *** RIVER *** [Ks 4d 9c 2h] [Qs] *** SHOW DOWN *** villian: shows [9s Ad] (a pair of Nines) hero: shows [7s Ac] (high card Ace) villian collected 427522 from pot correct play? we were on the bubble for PS's final (9) table. i just couldn't imagine him risking everything at that point with anything short of AA,KK,AK,etc. he consistantly made min raises with overcards, Ax, etc. seemed like a no-brainer. perhaps not? |
