neteller just for gambling?

Are neteller accounts primarily used for gambling purposes? I don't see any online stores that accept neteller funds.

The fees neteller charges are really high, only casinos and poker sites are willing to pay them for the most part.

It is their main use at the moment for sure, but they are actively trying to extend their userbase and become more widely accepted in online stores and to be used more for peer-to-peer transfers.

isnt there a neteller store you can buy amazon gift certificates at? i forget the link...

You can use the card at most places that accept debit cards as long as the store has a scanning machine for reading and entering the code. This transaction is called point of sale (PSO) and it there is small fee.

I used it at Best Buy, CompuSA, in the Mall, etc.

Hmmm...so, lets just say someone has been doing rather well...built up a nice little war chest. I guess this...purely hypothetical person...could avoid some of that nasty business we just went thru (April 15) by purchasing nice high ticket items that he would be getting anyway via his Neteller account. Hmmm....

The fee for peer-to-peer Neteller is actually a little bit less than what I lose accepting credit card orders (but there's no fee at all for me accepting money from your checking account.)

Admittedly, its very uncommon to see online businesses taking Neteller, and I didn't do it until after I started playing poker and needed to have the account myself.
