Default Pushing a small edge, or chip spewing????

Is this check raise a good play against two opponents?
button is weak tight, sb is loose aggresive

also, should I have raised preflop?

I would just bet the flop and expect to take it down pretty often.

I can't see him betting a hand that you want to checkraise against unless he'd fold a weak King, but does he openlimp with a weak King since you call him tight?

A flop like K83 doesnt have any straight draws OR overcard holdings.

When you put those together, you get a lot of folds. You should have semi-bluffed the flop with a simple bet.

good point on the player read - the chances are he had a good king - but I also think even the most passive players might take a shot at the two blinds with both of them checking to him on a small pot, I also was thinking that if he did have a K with a decent kicker, that a check raise could get a tight player to hit the brakes pretty hard for the rest of the hand giving me some cheap chances at the flush -
also was keeping the loose player in mind, hoping he'd come along for the ride to build the pot if i did hit my flush against the buttons King

that was my thinking, but I still had an uneasy feeling about the play, hence the post -

I think the CR is a little too fancy, and if he is tight then I'm not sure he is folding there as he probably has a solid King. semibluff that by betting out. YOu'll probably take it down fairly often right there

I see little reason to raise preflop. Like everyone else said, simply betting the flop gives you a chance to take it right there. I don't think the checkraise is so bad, but I do think it's unnecessarily fancy and you lose your fold equity by attempting it.
