I am absolutely shocked you even called pre-flop. I cannot imagine a time when I would want to play this. If the player is truly steaming, simply bide your time and wait for a better opportunity. One will almost always present itself and you gain such an advantage by not risking a thing with trash such as this.

Just some thoughts...

"vs ako + kqs 73s wins over 30% of hot and cold showdowns."

If we should be happy to take 7-3 against KQ, does that mean we should not be happy to take KQ against 7-3?

(I played a hand last night where I raised with KQ and it came down to headsup against the big blind. The flop came 7-7-3 and we both checked every street. He turned over 7-3, and then he tossed me a five-dollar chip because he felt bad for calling preflop.)

When someone open-raises and it's folded to the big blind, the big blind often asks "[can I take] one [chip] back? [and I'll fold]" and the raiser often agrees.

we shouldn't be excited at the idea of running 73s into anything, but the overlay is high enough to try to flop something

i think people easily lose more money missing with something like kqs vs a blind than they do calling and folding the flop against it w/73s
